Bachelor’s Dissertation

A core requirement of the Bachelor’s in Holistic Medicine is the completion of a Bachelor’s dissertation of at least 120 pages.

The dissertation is designed to prepare students for professional practice and advanced academic work within the discipline. Through this process, students develop and demonstrate the ability to carry out independent, original, and meaningful research.

The dissertation shows that the student is able to:

• identify and define relevant problems
• formulate research questions and hypotheses
• review, evaluate, and summarise the literature
• apply appropriate research methods
• collect data accurately and systematically
• analyse evidence critically
• discuss findings clearly and thoughtfully
• produce work of a publishable standard
• sustain a substantial piece of research or argument
• think and write with clarity, coherence, and critical insight

The Bachelor’s dissertation carries a weighting of 10 US credit hours and represents a minimum of 300 clock hours of work.
