Clinical Nutrition

Online Course

Our Clinical Nutrition course is designed for students and practitioners who want to deepen their understanding of nutrition in a clinical setting and strengthen the practical support they offer in practice. This comprehensive online program explores the role of nutrition across a wide range of health conditions, combining evidence-informed theory with applied nutritional strategies that can be used in real-world clinical work.

Delivered fully online, this course is ideal as a stand-alone professional development program for practitioners wishing to expand their knowledge, refine their treatment protocols, and access practical tools that can be integrated into practice immediately.

Course Overview

This engaging 13-lesson course provides an in-depth study of clinical nutrition across multiple body systems and disease states. Students will explore the nutritional management of complex conditions affecting the kidneys, lungs, cardiovascular system, bones, immune function, infectious diseases, cancer care, paediatrics, cystic fibrosis, fluid balance, and more.

The course includes a wide range of learning resources, including downloadable PDF files, videos, external learning links, and ready-made clinical handouts that practitioners can apply directly in practice.

Designed to bridge the gap between theory and application, the program offers valuable insight into how nutrition can be used to support patient care across acute, chronic, and complex health presentations.

What You Will Learn

By the end of this course, students will have a stronger understanding of:

  • The role of clinical nutrition in acute and chronic disease management

  • Nutritional considerations across major organs and body systems

  • The relationship between inflammation, immunity, metabolism, and nutritional status

  • Nutritional support strategies in areas such as cancer care, paediatrics, surgery, trauma, and infectious disease

  • Practical approaches that can be applied in clinical and professional settings

  • How to interpret complex nutritional needs in a wide range of patient presentations
